GAZA - UNDER SIEGE
For over 17 years, Gaza has endured an unrelenting blockade, transforming its 365 km² into one of the world's most densely populated areas, with approximately 5,855 people per km². Since October 2023, intensified hostilities have led to over 54,000 Palestinian deaths, with 70% being women and children. Approximately 90% of Gaza's 2.3 million residents are now displaced, many multiple times, seeking refuge in increasingly scarce safe zones.
Gaza's infrastructure is in ruins: 94% of healthcare facilities have been impacted, with only 16 out of 36 hospitals partially functional. The economy has collapsed, with an 86% contraction in early 2024, and nearly the entire population now lives in poverty. Access to essentials like food, water, and medical supplies is severely restricted, exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe.
A Land in Crisis
Innocence Lost: The Children of Gaza
Over 17,000 children have been killed since the onset of the conflict, with thousands more injured or missing. An estimated 71,000 children are at risk of severe malnutrition. The trauma of war has left an indelible mark on Gaza's youngest, robbing them of their childhoods and futures.
Their Blood, Our Test
In Gaza, children no longer dream of toys — they dream of silence, of waking up to the sound of birds instead of bombs. Mothers wrap their babies in prayers, not blankets, because even warmth has become a luxury. Fathers dig graves instead of gardens. Entire families are buried beneath rubble, not just in earth, but in global indifference. Yet through the smoke and ashes, the people of Gaza whisper: “Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel” — “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.” (Qur’an 3:173)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The most beloved of people to Allah are those who bring the most benefit to others."
