Syria – 14 Years of Silence and Suffering
For over 14 years, Syria has endured a relentless conflict that has devastated its infrastructure and displaced millions. As of early 2025, more than 7.4 million people remain displaced within Syria, and at least 6 million have sought refuge in neighboring countries, including Türkiye, Lebanon, and Jordan. Women and children constitute over two-thirds of those displaced, facing daily struggles for survival and stability
The prolonged war has left Syria's economy in ruins, with widespread poverty and unemployment. Access to basic necessities like food, clean water, and healthcare is severely limited. The destruction of infrastructure has hindered education, leaving a generation of children without proper schooling and exposing them to risks of exploitation and abuse.
The Forgotten Generation of Syria
Over 75% of Syria's 10.5 million children have been born during the 14-year civil war, knowing nothing but conflict and displacement. In 2023 alone, the United Nations verified 1,574 grave violations against children, including recruitment, killing, and maiming.

"Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter."
— [Sahih Muslim 2699]
